YOUNG ICT WOMEN project kicks off aiming to provide innovative solutions to increase the number of girls and young women in the the digital economy in seven European countries
The “YOUNG ICT WOMEN - Innovative Solutions to increase the numbers of EU vulnerable girls and young women into the digital agenda” (Project Nr. 2017-1-094) has started its activities with a kick-off meeting organized by the project Lead Partner, the Latvian Information and Communication Technology Association – LIKTA the 10-11th September in Riga.
LIKTA welcomes to Riga partners from Global Libraries Bulgaria Foundation
Within “Digital Skills for Bulgarian SMEs” project BG05M9OP001-4.001-0135-C01 two experts from Global Libraries Bulgaria Foundation (GLBF), six experts from the regional libraries in Plovdiv, Smolyan and Stara Zagora and two representatives of Bulgarian SMEs visited LIKTA in the period between 14th and 18th of January 2018.
The first Microsoft Innovation Centre in Baltic countries and Northern Europe has been opened on September 13 in Riga
In mid-September, attended by the President of Latvia, Raimonds Vējonis, an opening ceremony was held for the University of Latvia and Microsoft Innovation Centre – the first technological innovation platform of its kind in the region of Baltic countries and Northern Europe. Objective of this centre is to strengthen the cooperation between partners of the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) industry, science, non-governmental organisations and public sector, development of export capable IT solutions and digital transformation within Latvia.
